Portugal Italy Greece Spain Mediterrean Cubes are due Monday, April 23, 2012. European Country Projects are due Monday, April 23, 2012 for periods 3 and 4. Strategies to Help Your Child Be Successful in Middle School: 1.      Require your child to write down homework assignments and have me initial it to ensure it is correct. You can then initial it when the assignment is completed. If there is no homework assignment for a particular night then have your child write “None”, and I will initial it. If your child completes a homework assignment in class, the assignment should be brought home for you to see. 2.      Check SPAN regularly for your child’s academic progress or missing assignments.  3.      Make sure that your child has appropriate materials for class each day (pencils, paper, pens). 4.      Provide a specific time and place for homework to be completed nightly.   5.      Encouraging your child to be at school each day and discourage them from checking out of school prior to afternoon dismissal. 6.  Make sure your child brings his/her AR book everyday to class.  Your child should be reading his/her AR book nightly.  AR counts for 10% of your child’s language arts grade.  7.  Talk to your child; ask him/her about their work.  Make them responsible for their work and learning.   Contact Information:  e-mail: scuffee@wcpss.net
